Delegating mailbox control using Outlook Exchange.
(This Techdoc is related to Exchange 2007 and Office 2007, not all features are available in Exchange 2003)
Delegate – The user who will gain access to the email address

Once your Microsoft Outlook has been setup on the delegate and delegators machine you will need to do the following:

Out of Office Assistant command is unavailable
Problem:
When selecting the 'Out Of Office Assistant' from the Tools drop down menu in Outlook 2003 or 2007, you get an error message:- 'the command is not available. See the program documentation about how to use this extension'.
Solution:
There are 2 fixes – the first being preferred:
Fix 1 – within Outlook.
Clear Outlook Auto-Complete Cache
A change in Exchange server (eg. reinstall) can result in previous Exchange addresses stored in your Outlook auto-complete cache being invalid. To fix this you need to clear the cache. The steps are:
1. Close Outlook
2. Click Start->Run
3. Type: %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook
4. Press enter and then delete the Outlook.NK2 file from that directory.
Remove Outlook attachment blocking for specific attachments
If your Outlook is blocking attachments that you want access to, you might decide to disable this feature! This is how you do it:
1. Quit Outlook if it is running.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
4. Verify that the following registry key for your version of Outlook exists. If it does, go to step 5.
